The 35th Annual Czhilispiel Heritage Festival

When:

The Czhilspiel Festival falls on the fourth full weekend in October each year.  The 2007 dates are October 26, 27 & 28.

Where:

The Czhilispiel Festival is located in the heart of downtown Flatonia.  The town closes down the entire North Main Street for the three day event.  Admission charge for 2007 is $7.00 (Children under 12 get in free) on Friday and Saturday.  Sunday admission is free to everyone!  Gate admission covers all expenses for stage entertainment.  Carnival armbands and tickets are an additional fee.

Entertainment for the 2007 event: Roger Creager, Brandon Rhyder,  Todd Fritsch, The Grateful Geezers and more!

Czhilispiel keeps sizzlin with some great cooking.  Czhilispiel is host to the CASI sanctioned Chili and ICBA sanctioned BBQ cook-offs.  So visit one of the world's largest tented biergartens for some refreshments and visit as many teams as possible to taste a bit of Texas!

Flatonia has two motels located along the interstate.  We also have a hotel located in downtown Flatonia. Flatonia Chamber of Commerce has several listings for Bed & Breakfasts within its membership. If you have a question on lodging please email us.
